About Noelle Gray & David Graybill:

With a diverse and professional dance background spanning 23 years, Noëlle Gray is Connecticut's most prominent Lindy Hop and Blues Dance instructor. In addition to teaching for Connecticut Swing Dance Society Noëlle has also taught Lindy Hop, Blues and Styling in London, England and throughout the Northeast at dance camps and workshops weekends. Noëlle is known for her solid technique, graceful styling and great sense of humor.
In 1994, Dave discovered his love for swing dancing and has been doing it ever since. Dave started competing at Swing Dancing in 1998, and has since earned the titles of U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion and American Lindy Hop Champion among many others. He currently resides in Connecticut teaching private, group and club lessons.

12:00–12:30pm Registration and Warm-up

12:30–1:30pm A: Common Ground

Solid partnering technique is applicable to any tempo of music! In this class we’ll explore
ways to take the Lindy technique you already know and slow it down to a blues tempo.

1:45–2:45pm B: Fancy Floorcraft, Fabulous Footwork!

Blues doesn’t have to mean staying in closed or boring footwork. Scrolling, Height, Stretch, and Speed are great ways to make your blues more dynamic.

3:15-4:15pm C: How'd Ya Do That?

In this class we’ll cover the “how to” of executing balance related moves such as spins, turns, dips and even catching a little air!

4:30-5:30pm D: Chameleon: Making the Phrase Fit

For the final class of the day we’ll take a phrase of choreography set to a specific song and tempo then explore ways to make the phrasing fit different styles of blues tempo music.

Solid Lindy Hop technique required for all classes. No partner necessary.
