GBVS: Newport Art Deco Weekend

Greater Boston Vintage Society invites you to celebrate the 1920’s – 40’s with its second annual “Newport Art Deco Weekend”!  This event will take place at two 19th century estates owned by Salve Regina University.   The amazing Fairlawn Estate (aka Pell Center/Young Building) is our main event space/housing option.  This beautiful estate was built in the 1850’s and used as a private home for most of its life until being converted for school and college use.

The weekend will consist of many period themed activities and classes.  Friday night, weekend guests can take part in the first ever “GBVS Murder Mystery Evening”!  Saturday will consist of a series of workshops and classes sponsored by Providence Swings! Our very own Jen and Daryl will be teaching a 20’s Charleston and Advanced Lindy Hop classes.

Saturday night features a live band “black tie ball” with Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society!  Sunday, guests are invited to take a day cruise of Newport aboard a period-style sailing yacht!
