Adam Dau

My dancing career started back when I was little impressionable boy who was convinced by his older sister that it would be a great idea to wear a pair of white leotards and a black turtle neck and perform an interpretive dance to “Walk like an Egyptian.” Little did I know where my dance performances in our parent’s basement would lead me. Years later I started pursuing Swing dance, which was a wonderful detour into a dance with slightly more machismo. And in the mid 2000s, I discovered Lindy Hop and Charleston at Providence Swings.
I absolutely love dancing and connecting with new and veteran dancers, be it in partnered dancing or solo freestyling. There is nothing quite like it and I hope to see you out on the floor!
